  • The Hunger Games (2012) – The first movie in the series is based on the novel of the same name by Suzanne Collins. It introduces the world of Panem, a dystopian society in which a yearly event called the Hunger Games takes place. The story follows Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence), a 16-year-old girl from District 12 who volunteers to take her younger sister’s place in the games. 
  • The Hunger Games: Catching Fire (2013) – This movie is also based on a novel by Suzanne Collins and continues the story of Katniss Everdeen. After winning the Hunger Games, Katniss and her fellow tribute Peeta Mellark (Josh Hutcherson) are forced to participate in a special edition of the games called the Quarter Quell, which involves previous victors. 
  • The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1 (2014) – The first part of the final installment in the series is based on the first half of the Mockingjay novel by Suzanne Collins. The movie follows Katniss as she becomes the symbol of the rebellion against the Capitol, which has taken control of all the districts of Panem. 
  • The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2 (2015) – The second part of the final installment in the series is based on the second half of the Mockingjay novel. The movie continues the story of the rebellion against the Capitol, as Katniss and her allies attempt to overthrow President Snow (Donald Sutherland) and bring peace to Panem.
