There are 5 Die –Hard movies:
- Die Hard (1988) – Directed by John McTiernan, this movie introduces us to John McClane (Bruce Willis), a New York City cop who travels to Los Angeles to reconcile with his estranged wife at her workplace, Nakatomi Corporation. However, things take a turn for the worse when a group of terrorists led by Hans Gruber (Alan Rickman) takes over the building and McClane becomes the only hope to stop them.
- Die Hard 2: Die Harder (1990) – This sequel takes place two years after the events of the first movie and sees McClane once again fighting against a group of terrorists, this time at Washington Dulles International Airport.
- Die Hard with a Vengeance (1995) – Directed by John McTiernan, this movie sees McClane teaming up with Zeus Carver (Samuel L. Jackson) to stop a terrorist named Simon Gruber (Jeremy Irons), the brother of the first movie’s villain Hans Gruber, from causing widespread destruction in New York City.
- Live Free or Die Hard (2007) – Directed by Len Wiseman, this movie takes place several years after the events of the previous movie and sees McClane teaming up with hacker Matt Farrell (Justin Long) to stop a cyber-terrorist named Thomas Gabriel (Timothy Olyphant) from hacking into the nation’s infrastructure and causing chaos.
- A Good Day to Die Hard (2013) – Directed by John Moore, this movie sees McClane travel to Russia to help his estranged son Jack (Jai Courtney), who is an undercover CIA agent. Together, they fight against terrorists who are attempting to steal nuclear weapons.
