Ethan Hawke is an American actor, writer, and director. He was born on November 6, 1970, in Austin, Texas. Hawke began his acting career in the mid-1980s, and his breakout role was in the 1989 film “Dead Poets Society,” in which he played one of the students at a conservative boarding school who is inspired by his English teacher, played by Robin Williams.
